Sandy, prior to his accident had asked me to act on his behalf as RC for the July Meeting. Sandy and Wilma were originally planning on being away.
Details as follows:
Starting at the Forth Road Bridge Services - 10.00 for 10.30 departure.
M90 exit J4 to Knockhill Racing circuit
A823 to Crieff
A85 to Gilmerton
A822/ A826 to Aberfeldy
A827 to Kenmore
Meeting/ Lunch at The Kenmore Hotel.
A827 to Killin
Back A85 to Crieff
A822 to Gleneagles
on to A9 and south to M9
At Crieff those who stay in East fife can go back via Perth.
Can I ask that all Road Marshalls who will be available to bring their High Vis jackets. We will be marking junctions but have no plans to stop any traffic. depending on the numbers that turn up we may split in to smaller groups and group back up for the ride in to Kenmore.

nice hotel, and what a lovely setting. never been to kenmore before, but would definitely go back again, once the summer arrives
the baked potato at the hotel was really nice, but I could have eaten another once quite easily :)
didn't ride home so much as sail home. I think my road king has become a u-boat it spent that much time under water over the weekend :(
cheers

Sorry I missed the rideout through Crieff on Sunday 6th. Could you clarify what time you left Forth Bridge Services to head up via Knockhill for Crieff and what time you passed through Crieff? Disappointed to miss you all.

Sorry, we never made it to Crieff - going or coming back. Due to the Weather conditions, the collective feeling was to stick to the Motorway as much as possible. So we went up the M9 to Perth and then the A9 and cut off at Ballinluig and cut over to Kenmore. The Weather was not too bad going up. Coming back it was a drissle over to Killin. After Killin it was just wet!:mad: Hoping summer will arrive soon as I am getting well fed up with this weather. I haven't had a complete dry run, on the bike that is, since May! :(:|

The Hotel really turned up trumps on the food side. I had booked lunch for 60 people, reduced it to 30 before we departed from the Forth Road bridge expecting the group to enlarge on the way so to speak. Finally only 19 sat down for lunch.
Loads of Chilli/ potatoes for the staff to feast on.
We were only charged for the food consumed rather than that provided for so did not make a noise for extra helpings.
Certainly worth having another go at this route later, maybe a Saturday run out without need for pre booking etc.
On on
