Yeah thanks - Excellent weekend. Great fun and great company. That quiz on Saturday night was a laugh - good end to the day.
The Race for Life was pretty moving when you read the reasons for doing it on peoples backs. A highlight was having half the group auditioning for the Village People during the warm up for the race:p .There was a boy in the crowd videoing it all the way through so i recon it'll be on youtube real soon........
What a wee gem of a museum - so much memorabilia stuffed into a small space.
ps Mike, does that mean you've only stayed in open mental asylums before? :p
Hi Guys
Cheers for the kind words, makes it all worthwhile.
When I am on I thought that an apology and a big thanks to Elaine (my wife) is a wee bit overdue. Elaine helped a lot with putting together the cd's, quiz, keeping me organised, etc. Guess Uncle Jack made me forget to publicly thank her on Sat night. We both had a great time with good company. Plans are already underway to find a good location for next year.

well done to Gee & Elaine for a great weekend. The hotel was cracking, set in fantastic grounds, and an added bonus - used to be (or still is ?) a mental asylum :o
the DC museum was chock full of Couthard memorabilia as well as four of his old race cars and a couple of karts. amazing. and it was good of DC's dad to come down to see us and accept an honorary membership for DC. I believe he's taking it down to Silverstone this week so DC can sew tha patch on his race leathers ? :D
great quiz on Saturday night, with a lovel bottle of Jack for the winning team :D resulting in a sore head the next morning
how about we go back to the same place next year, with camping in the grounds for those who want to rough it ? :)
lots of great cars & bikes at the classic show in Moffat on the Sunday, but our bikes must have been one of the most popular 'exhibitors' in the place. even among all the amazing vehicles we still managed to draw quite a crowd on our arrival, and again on our departure (even if Mad Dog didn't wait for everyone  )
cheers

I agree it was an excellent weekend. Even although we took a couple of extra detours, it all added the enjoyment.:D
The quiz was brilliant - well done Mr & Mrs Gee. Interesting result though, first prize of JD one by Mr JD himself!!! ;):p;)
