Never had this fault myself. Neutral indicator switch screws into the top cover of the transmission case, theres a bit of a cutout in the top cover casting at the back, switch is in there (Twin cam engine models).. Sorry cant be of anymore help. On softail, its brown and black wires, only suggestion is check connection, i.e not corroded or wet??. Good luck..:D:D:D

Hi there Old Boy - check main battery cables for loose connection, this sometimes causes indicator lights to flicker and will eventually discharge battery. Rode with the guys a few weeks ago and loose battery lead there caused quite a bit of hassle. Hope you come right.

Just a thought, .........make sure the sensor is tightened in properly. If it ain't had loctite on it it may have rattled loose enough to make the difference.

On a Harley engine, if it ain't welded or loctited on the chances are it'll fall off eventually! :D
