Irene Harwood:
Dunedin Chapter Members and friends of Irene Harwood will be saddened to hear the news that Irene lost her brave fight with cancer on Saturday 12th April. After a short sudden illness Irene slipped away peacefully in her sleep with her beloved family around her. I know all of your thoughts will be with Don and his family at this very difficult and sad time.
A service to celebrate the life of Irene is being held at Daldowie Crematorium, Broom House, Hamilton Road, Uddingston, Glasgow on Thursday 17th April at 10.45 am. As a mark of respect and at the request of the family Dunedin Chapter, along with other biking friends of Irene and Don, will be attending the ceremony in full Chapter regalia. Irene was a very enthusiastic pillion passenger and Dunedin Chapter and Dunedin Harley Riders Club member and it was one of her wishes that her funeral be marked in this way.
Members and friends are invited to meet at Deer Park Service Station, on the M8, at 9.30 am for a 10.00 am departure when the bikes will follow the funeral cars to the crematorium. Don has pledged a donation to charity for each bike that turns up. There will also be a charity bucket collection by the Dunedin Chapter on the day.
It would be great to see a fabulous support for Irene, Don and their family at this time. If you require any further details contact George McGuire 07833 148890
