About to carry out Stage 1 conversion on my 1200 Sportster. Got Vance and Hines exhaust, Screamin Eagle filter and also the Dynojet kit. looking at the destructions I see that I have to drill out a plug that blocks off the Idle mixure screw. Just wondering if anyone has done this...and let me know how far I have to drill. Dont want to go too far and ferk it!!!

Standard Sportster 1200 1995 with 14K on the clock..The lacquer on the cases is a bit ropey...anyone stripped it off then polished the alloy. Will Nitro moors take the lacquer off.???

cheers Bill [Aviemore]

Hi there

in my experience I flick it out with a small screwdriver, If you drill it 1/8 inch is all you need

Thanks...job done. Stage 1 ..Vance and Hines exhaust..fitted forward controls...goes very well. Had a quick hurl up to carrbridge/Granton area for a test.

Need to do something with the brakes though!!!just not enough stopping in them
