I am involved in Lambing just now but if its quite I might come along.

Out of interest it just easter eggs in their boxes do they need wrapping?

You will have guested I struggle with that.

Officially the run is off.

The Police would not provide support, and the council were being awkward. It's been the same story in other areas round Britain too.

"Due to the Egg Run "EVENT" being cancelled i would like to let you all know that there will be a van at Aberdeen Beach on Sunday the 28th March to collect all Easter Egg Donations @ 12.30pm, the van will then itself go off and deliver Easter Eggs on behalf of Aberdeen Bikers.

I would like to point out that you are all still invited to visit linsmore school at anytime from 3pm for a warm drink and to say hi to the children where you will be able to meet up with the van and catch up on the well wishes from the homes.

How you get to Linsmore is purely your own choice and whom you travel with is also your own choice. As this is no longer and organised event of any sort.

I will be there to collect Egg on the day, hope to see some of you then

There will be quite a few aberdeenbikers hanging around the beach from area from around 11am... mostly stuffing their faces with their third olympic breakfast by then.

I'm full of swine flu and am affriad that I'll be mistaken for a bacon roll, so it's unlikely that I'll be there. Hopefully I'll be feeling better.

Childrens homes in Aberdeen really do get a kick out of this annual event and it is a shame that yet again it is to be made unofficial. The police made a few underhanded threats re road worthiness of bikes as discussions broke down. I expect the police to be doing vehicle spot checks on to day.

Anyway... it's not about what the authorities want... ride free!
