What sort of price would you likes to see for servicing? I want to be the best quality and at the lowesy practical cost so the more input and sudjestions the better. and there would always be coffee on the go...

Spelling? Not a good advert for quality and attention to detail...;)

I was also going to remove it unless he tells me he is a HOG member :)

Well well, when was the site changed to Scottish HOG D, what about all the Riders Club guys, the Cally crew, and all the other independants. I guess thats me out as well then!

not at all.
I have to make sure someone is just not using the site as a spam area, and that happens alot.
If the poster had just sent a quick PM to me letting me know the situation, then there would be no problem.

The problem is, this was his FIRST post and he is advertising?

I am all for free speach but come on.

and
you will not that the post still has not been removed.

And if any of the rider clubs want to contact me, I would be happy to set them up in the forum.

just PM me.

Jeez

One post & we're all having a pop at each other?? Am I completely naive or isn't the fact that we're all into bikes & more particularily into Harleys more important than all 'this my way of doing it is better than you're way' bul****t.
Seems to me that RamDez main thing is to take care of the site but maybe forgot that there are non Hoggers who arre members of this forum. Likewise maybe other people should allow RamDez a bit of slack as I'm sure he meant no insult. As far as I'm aware this site has always been open although it's always been clear that theres a big Dunedin HOG influence on the site. If you go onto the Harley Riders forum you get the same flavour in their favour.

If the guy from Chaos is straight good for him & let's support him - if he's not then nobody with any sense'll have anything to do with him. But for gods sake don't let 1 post spoil whats up to date been a free & fair forum.

Lads, this will be one post that would put any potential poster looking in right off posting for fear of being picked on for a few writing mistakes (or is it righting) who cares as long as it makes some sense... Welcome onboard Paul and every success with the venture.
Remember the bikes and fun are what its really all about surely.......

Well siad sayd sed that man. One point if you want people to use this forum cos there are others all will need to feel welcome. Maybe the admin can set up an "other" section not just HOG chapter. Back to thread a lot of owners will want only HD filters, oils etc put in the bike. Others wont bother as long as its a good quality product, thinking that HD stuff is a rip off anyway. You'll have to give people the option, price is easy, phone the big two and beat them. Bear in mind THEY are HD trained, whats your background, ever worked on or owner a Big Twin? You may find it difficult to break into the market, you'll need to be patient and make a name for yourself, quality advice and work, also will you be able to supply parts, aftermarket stuff, Zodiac, CC etc. best of luck anyway, the more competition the better. PS GUVcheck was operating on the spelling in this post.:D:D

Spelling? Not a good advert for quality and attention to detail...

For example: does anyone remember the Harley-Davidson Deuce with the custom paint job that was in the dealership a year or two ago? It had the word 'Duece' painted on it! I don't know what happened to the bike, maybe one of you guys that don't think spelling is important bought it...

No offence to Chaos Engineering but for the money we spend on these bikes we should feel that whoever is working on them will also spend a bit of effort in getting things right. The message you posted might discourage many people from trusting their bikes to you - if the spelling's wrong what else could be wrong, the type of oil, parts, etc. Just trying to help.

But, as you can see, there are many who aren't as choosey (picky). ;)
