Hey Folks,

Just been speaking to a chap from BEAR SCOTLAND who look after the A96 Inverness to Aberdeen. He tells me they will be SALTING  on Thursday.

So Boys and Girls - say goodbye to your CHROME .... :D (or buy a good Power Washer...:) )

Accht. Al the rain they're forecasting for today and Saturday should wash it all away - maybe. I've been using the Guzzi winter hack, with its excellent stainless rims and spokes, and rusty everything else. My ideal Harley would be made entirely from stainless steel. You can stuff yer chrome. Stainless bars look OK, and I'd be far happier with stainless rims, spokes, yokes, sideplates, fender supports, nuts and bolts, everything. With the cost of electroplating today, I'd guess that stainless would actually be less expensive, and the Guzzi's rims are pretty much indistinguishable from chrome, on the rare occasions you can see them.:o
The Guzzi made it up to Lochindorb last weekend, although it was damn cold, and a lot more challenging with 20 HP and a head wind....
You'll recognise the view if you did the TITG ride outs over the past couple of years...
