On Saturday 5th December, Dunedin Chapter will ride from Edinburgh HD to the Venchie Childrens Centre to deliver presents for the kids who, without our help, won't have much of a Christmas at all. We will depart at 1130 sharp and Santa suits are compulsory, the kids love them and so do the children at the Venchie ;) There is a box at Edinburgh HD for you to drop off presents for the children, who are aged 0 - 16 years. Please wrap your gifts and label them "boy" "girl" aged, well you can work that out. There is talk of using cars if the weather is bad, but the kids love to see Santa on the bikes so please ride out and enjoy the fun of cleaning the bike when you get home. Oh! and please think about the gifts you donate - selection boxes are an easy option, but lets give them something they can keep and enjoy for a while. See y'all there and if you can't make it on the day, please leave a gift, or two, at the dealership before hand

The kids also love the Santa hats that we usually wear so if you have any spare (or want to purchase some) please bring them along.

Santa suits can be bought from Instore (Poundstretcher) for £3.99 (one size fits all).

The toy run has been planned to coinside with the Centres Christmas Fair so our arrival should be a great spectacle. Don't forget to hand in your gifts to Edinburgh HD and mark them "Boy" "Girl" aged "0 -16". We always get a load of selection boxes and stuff for the younger kids. It's tough to buy for the older ones, but give it a go if you can. Thank you for your support - it is worth the effort to see these bairns faces when we turn up and to know that they will have a present to open on Christmas morning. Kids in 2009 should not be living as they are so lets try to change it, just for a wee while anyway ;)

Just to remind y'all, the toy run is tomorrow (Saturday). We will leave Edinburgh HD at 1130 sharp and we will be heading down the newly opened Princes Street with a police escort before heading to the Venchy Centre. I was in EHD today and there are a few toys already in the box so thanks for that. Look forward to seeing you all in the morning - on your bikes - in your Santa suits and with presents a plenty :D

Stop the press!! In a freak turn in the weather, the sun is splitting Edinburgh streets! The council has been out overnight and washed all the salt away and your all going to be roasting in your Santa suits! Now get out there into John's world and make some people smile :D I'll see you all at EHD just as soon as I have fed the Phoenix, collected the eggs from my Golden Goose and washed the sheeeiite from the back of the sheep with the goldn fleece - dirty sheep!;):D

Thanks to all who turned out for the toyrun and especially those who braved the rain and came on two wheels. Also, thanks to the folk who couldn't make it, but dropped off gifts at EHD. Regardless of how many wheels you were on, you will all agree that there is nothing better than seeing the smiling faces of the kids and helpers at the centre, as well as those of the people we cheer up on the way. Thanks again! :D

P.S. A big thank you to EHD for the use of the van to transport the gifts to the Venchy and for the soup and dohnuts

P.P.S. Thanks to Ross for bringing Santa's sleigh (sp) and for the Tail Chaser for taking the very cold roll of Santa

If I've missed anyone - sorry, but thanks to all anyway!

Think you upload what it will allow then you get the option to edit. At the top, if I remember right, it says something like "Add more pictures" and you go for it again
