OK,
after doing a few medium runs (one to Leeds and back) I have come to the conclusion that my back needs a break on longer rides.
So
I am going to change out the seat and bars on the King.
Suggestions for both are welcome please.
So Far I am thinking of using a ultra glyde seat (from the dealers) and the pull back bars from hd.
Try a sit on a Sundowner seat - very comfy

Hi Bob, get the tour pack and mount it for the single seat position, looks stunning and plenty support. You could also get a Mustang seat which has a backrest which bolts in for support.
For bars, reckon u should get ape hangers, its not as if your arms will no reach them:D

You could try a set of Heritage Softail bars. I fitted them to my Road King and found it a lot more comfortable. (I'm 6'1") standard cables and pipes still fit, pipes need a bit of gentle straightening etc.
Hope this helps.

Hi I changed mine to the older Hertige bars (pullback type part number 56562-95) a couple of years back. They feel much more comfortable than apehangers (much kinder on the wrists). If you want a bit of height try 4" risers. If I ever get around to changing my Wideglide, I'll definately keep hold of the bars
