Hello there to all on Scottish HD - my name is Mike Taylor and my wife Mandy and I have recently arrived in Perth from Pretoria in South Africa to settle here and enjoy what must be the MOST magnificent country in the world to ride in. Mandy rides a Sporty 1200R and my pride and joy is a Softail Night Train. We've been riding bikes on and off for about 30 years but only recently found our true love in the H-D Family.
We managed to get the bikes across here pretty quickly and are really looking forward to going out for our first ride this weekend, weather permitting.
I'm sure that we'll be meeting up with a lot of members on the road, but until we do, Ride Safe and ENJOY.

Hi

Nice to meet you.

What sort of mileage do you like for a run. We are in Inverness/Kingussie area, and we quite like a long run, so maybe you could join us, or we could ride down half way and then cut "across country" for a bit of a run..?.. See my post in Rideouts titled 30th September.

Hi Y'al, Nice to "meet" you two (even if it's only a virtual meeting). The present Mrs Journeyman and I are just back from sunny Geordieland after another very good rally, you should try it sometime, maybe next year.
I think we are due a meeting of our chapter on the 7th October, you should come along and meet a few of the gang..... If you are interested, go on to the chapter website (www.dunedinhog.com), all the relevent info should be there, if not let me know and I will give you directions etc.

Hi there - thanks for the welcome and looking forward to riding with you guys.
We are used to fairly short runs from our riding time in SA - we would typically meet at the H-D dealership at around 8 in the morning, grab a quick cup of coffee nd then do about 150-odd Kms before settling into a big farmhouse breakfast somewhere - normal turnout in the summer months would be around 90 bikes which makes for a great run !
It would be great to join you for a longer run, both Mandy and I love to ride, so no worries !
We are just waiting on the DVLA for reg on the bikes and then we're on the road - saw u r note on the 30th : we'll do our damdest to get there, sound like a cool run.
Ride Safe and Enjoy

Plenty of Harleys in Perth, some Chapter, some not.
You just missed our Wednesday night (short) ride outs, as the dark and salt have beaten us for another year...:(
Welcome to the Fair City, and see you around....

Hi - MikeT
Catching up on some reading - thought I would let you know - there is a female member of 'kingdombikers.net' who hails from South Africa - goes by the name - 'Springbok' - rides a ruby red Honda Shadow 1100 I think? - nice machine anyway!
