Good cause and should be a nice start to the riding year.
Lets look for a big Scottish HD turnout to this event.

On behalf of Jim ROI who is way down to Yarmouth:mad:

Shire Blood Run is an all day event being held at the Blood Bank premises at Aberdeen Roayl Infirmary complex. on Sunday 17 May 2009.
Event kicks off at 11am and is to continue until 4pm, so you southern guys don't have to get up too early but can enjoy a nice ride up to Aberdeen. I would recommend the Coast road not the boring A90 Dueller.

The whole idea is to get as many people to attend and either donate blood:eek: themselves or, have a pillion who can do so. If you don't have a rideable bike take the car (you can take more up that way)!!;)

I have tried to attached a copy of the badge we will be giving to those who donate. We had to change original badge due to PC brigade.:p The badge is now also on Dunedin HOG site www.dunedinhog.com (http://www.dunedinhog.com)

You're the only one I'd let away with the "weather permitting" comment Jimmer - couldn't have wee Gregor treading water in his bath,eh? :D

Hence the reason behind the wee door, when he has breathing problems during heavy rain storms, opens the door, water drains, no further problems :D:D...

For those comin' up fae the South, Peggy Scott's at Finaven (South of Brechin) is a favorite with the lads fae the North who have the intrepid journey everytime they put the rubber down on the A90.

Thanks to everyone who turned up on Sunday.
75 bodies through the system, 51 pints of blood donated of which 44 were new donors. Great result.
Thanks to Blood Transfusion Service for the great spread put on, ask Journeyman , Dez, and The Troublemaker about that side of it. For those who did not make it you missed a good event held in great weather. Hopefully event will be taking place same weekend in 2010. Watch this space.
